Agent Smith: The new threat to Android users

A new type of malware that infests millions of Android devices and apps on infected mobile phones through counterfeiting is on the prowl. This dangerous malware is called "Agent Smith".

The malware "Agent Smith" is very dangerous has it alters installed apps on Android devices. it attacks Android devices and gets stuck in familiar apps. "Agent Smith" shows unwanted and disturbing advertisements.

According to experts, the malware could even be used to steal sensitive user data while posing as a harmless game or photo program, the malicious code can be contacted via app stores - even Google's Play Store is already affected.

So far, mainly devices were infected in Asia, and it's on the move to other region, Android users must therefore be cautious of apps they download via the internet and the app stores
